As the officers drew level with the silver Renault at a roundabout, one of the cops leapt out and ordered the suspects to surrender.

A search revealed around £250 worth of meat and groceries stashed in the boot of the car.

The arrests was carried out by Warwickshire Police’s Investigation Standards and Outcomes Team.

Earlier in the day officers chased another thief who stole £300 worth of food from a supermarket but they got away.
