Yesterday (Tuesday) headteacher Victoria Wallace sourced food from Tesco and through staff donations.

Today (Wednesday), with the help of local charity Midland Langar Seva Society, more food arrived and the school was able to provide each of its 90 families with two bags of food for the rest of the half term holidays.

Vouchers have also been sent from the local business which will be distributed as they arrive.

Mrs Wallace said: "I would like to thank all of those involved in sourcing food, packing up bags and donating their time to helping our families. The community spirit has been overwhelming."
