Pupils create winning video

Year 10 pupils have won a prize fund of £1,000 in the Carrot Rewards Video Challenge 2013.

Schools across the country were invited to take part in the competition by making a short video demonstrating how online reward tools www.MyStickers.co.uk and www.CarrotRewards.co.uk are being used in their school and the positive impact they are having.

Teacher Tracie Farren said: “I’m incredibly proud of our students.

“It is a true reflection of their commitment to the school that they were willing to work hard and create this video in their spare time.

“The enthusiasm shown in the video for MyStickers and Carrot Rewards is genuine.

“They really do like being rewarded with stickers, and being able to then log them online, and use these scores to take part in school and national competitions, makes the stickers even more engaging, as you can tell in the video.”

North Leamington was selected from three finalists - including Gladesmore School in Tottenham and Stourport School in Worcesteshire - with a panel made up of School Stickers directors making the final decision.

The £1,000 will be spent on rewards from the two websites.

Pupil Adam Hoskins, who edited the video, said: “It was a great opportunity to take part in this project and fantastic that we’ve won.”
