Pupils in Southam have once again been creating posters with the message of peace.

Southam and District Lions Club worked with Southam College for the annual Peace Poster Competition, inviting young pupils from years 7 and 8 to take part in this year's competition.

The subject matter this year was to produce peace posters with the theme of 'lead with compassion'.

Some 19 posters were put forward for consideration by the panel and the winner was Sebastian Putt. The runners-up were Ada Lester and Lennon Fielder.

The winning entry will now be put forward to Lions' regional HQ so that a regional winner can go forward with other similar entries in the other UK regions to determine a winner for the UK.

Last year's winner of the Southam and District Lions Club's Peace Poster Competition was Matilda Hughes from Southam College, and the runners-up were Eliana Cook and Toby Clarke.
