Ready for multicultural show at Spa Centre

AN important aspect of children’s learning is to raise their awareness and understanding of other cultures, say former county education workers Devinder Virk and Liz Rose.

Even though cuts to the county’s Intercultural Curriculum Support Service led to the two women being made redundant, last August, they have continued to support schools as private consultants.

The result is that another of their popular Multicultural Youth Showcase events will be taking place at the Spa Centre in Leamington at 6.30pm on Monday.

Liz said: “We have received great support from schools where we had worked previously and broken new ground in the surrounding counties.

“As a result our new business, IN2Cultures, can offer activities including bhangra, samba and Irish dancing, dhol drumming, didgerdoo workshops, African song and dance and storytelling.
