Kenilworth marks 75th anniversary of VJ Day with special service

Services were held across the Warwick district at the weekend

The 75th anniversary of VJ day was commemorated by a short ceremony at the Kenilworth War Memorial on Saturday morning.

With restrictions in place due to pandemic, services were smaller to help with social distancing.

After two minutes' silence at 11am wreaths were laid by Cllr Richard Dickson, the mayor of Kenilworth, Cllr Alan Cockburn, the chairman of Warwickshire County Council and Lieutenant Colonel Francis Arnold, the president of the Kenilworth Branch of the Royal British Legion.
