Award for Leamington-based wedding planner

Louise Harris, who started her wedding planning business Warwickshire Wedding Planner Ltd just two years ago, faced stiff competition but achieved her success thanks to superb feedback from her clients.

The Wedding Industry Awards winners are voted for and scored by their own clients.

The comments are then reviewed by leading industry professionals and the winners selected.

The judging panel, which this year included international wedding planner Sarah Haywood who was the international commentator for Prince William and Catherine Middleton’s wedding, read a raft of comments from Louise’s clients - “kind”, “level headed”, “organised and flexible”, “supportive”, “friendly”, “efficient” and “worth her weight in gold” - and decided that Louise should be the rightful winner.

Louise, who is also mum to Jack, aged 5, said: “Winning this award has been unbelievable and the fact that I got such wonderful comments from my clients is particularly special.

“I went through to the national Finals this year too, but I didn’t win.

“I’m hoping that might be on the cards for next year.”

Warwickshire Wedding Planner is going from strength to strength.

Louise said: “Although I’m based in Warwickshire, I provide wedding planning services throughout the UK and I’ve just won my first international clients.

“They’re based in the United Arab Emirates but I’m helping them plan their wedding which will take place in Warwickshire in July 2015.”

Louise graduated from The Wedding Planner School in 2012 with a Professional Diploma in Wedding Planning and Event Management.

She achieved a distinction, the highest level a student can attain.
