Whitnash coffee shop relaunch is a dream come true for Leamington woman
A Whitnash coffee shop is now under new ownership and has had a stylish revamp before relaunching this week.
Formerly Blue Wolf at 84 Heathcote Road, the shop has been relaunched as Mori Coffee by it’s new owner Daisy-May McBurnie.
Daisy-May bought the coffee shop from its previous owners recently and has set about having it refurbished and rebranded ready for it’s re-opening.
She said: “For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of owning a coffee shop.

“Not just any coffee shop, but one filled with warmth — the kind of place where the door opens and you’re greeted by name, where friendly faces meet over steaming cups, and where conversations flow as easily as the coffee.
“I’ve always loved socialising. I thrive on daily interactions, quick catch-ups, deep chats, shared laughter.
“It’s something that comes naturally to me, something I genuinely believe I’m good at.
"My family have always described me as kind, sociable, and supportive — the person who checks in, who listens, who brings people together.

"But like many dreams, this one sat quietly in my heart for a long time.
"Then two years ago, everything changed.
Daisy-May added: “When I had my little boy, he had to overcome certain health challenges and something shifted in me.
"Holding him made me think about the example I wanted to set — about courage and the courage he had shown me, about following your passion, about building something meaningful.

"I wanted him to see me go for what I wanted and to follow my dream.
"This gave me a new kind of bravery.
"It pushed me to stop waiting for the “right time” and to start building the life I’d always imagined.
“And that’s how Mori became ours.”
Mori is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7am to 2pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 7am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
It is closed on Sundays.
Along with coffee it sells pastries and cakes to both take away and eat in.
Dogs are welcome and it has free Wi-fi.
Daisy-May said: “Opening the doors to my own coffee shop, right in the heart of Whitnash, felt surreal.
“Whitnash isn’t just a location on a map to us — it’s home. It’s where I’ve lived my whole life, where my family have put down roots, where memories have been made across generations.
"We adore this community.
"To now be part of its centre, to create a space that belongs to it, feels like the greatest privilege and blessing.
She added: “Mori is more than coffee to me.
"It’s comfort on hard days.
"It’s celebration on good ones.
"It’s slow mornings, prams parked by tables, builders grabbing their usual, friends squeezing in a quick catch-up, grandparents treating little ones to babyccinos.
“It’s the rhythm of daily life, all under one roof.
“I’ve been so lucky to build a team who share that same heart.
"They’re friendly, dedicated, and genuinely proud to work at Mori.
"They care about every cup they serve and every person who walks through the door.
"You can feel it — the warmth, the welcome, the pride.
"My hope is simple - to bring comfort, care, and kindness into our community every single day.”
