Free band concerts in Leamington parks

A SERIES of free band concerts taking place in parks in Warwick district on Sunday afternoons will come to an end this month.

The Avonbank Brass Band will perform at Jephson Gardens in Leamington on August 7.

Hailing from Evesham, the band won the Third Section of the Weston-super-Mare Brass Band Concert in May.

Also performing in Jephson Gardens will be the Jaguar Land Rover Band on August 28.

They offer music for all ages and from all musical genres including the classics, big band and the shows.

The Shirley Band will play at St Nicholas Park in Warwick on August 14.

Established in 1919, the band are an active contesting band currently competing in the first section.

Alcester Victoria Silver Band are one of the oldest established brass bands in the country, and they are proud of their long heritage.

They will play at Abbey Fields in Kenilworth on August 21.

All of the concerts take place from 3pm to 5pm.
