Bellway’s village development near Leamington welcomes residents

A new community in a village near Leamington Spa has reached an important milestone by welcoming its first residents.

Bellway’s Rothley showhome at Hazelwood features a spacious lounge which opens onto the garden

Drawn by the prospect of village life just three miles from Leamington, the first three buyers and their families have moved into Hazelwood, which sits between Coventry Road and Rugby Road in Cubbington.

The development, designed and built by Bellway will bring 123 new homes to the sought-after village.

High demand, combined with excellent progress from the construction team, have prompted a wide range of homes at the development to be released for sale.

Elaine Brown, Head of Sales for Bellway South Midlands, said: “Hazelwood truly offers something for every homebuyer, from one-bedroom maisonettes through to large four-bedroom detached houses.

“We seem to have established a sweet spot in the local market. Hazelwood’s location on the edge of the village, just a 10-minute drive from Leamington and 15 minutes from Coventry, Warwick and the M40, has enhanced its appeal.

“Cubbington itself is well served by amenities and Bellway will be creating new green open spaces.

“Add this to the wide variety of homes on offer and Bellway’s reputation as a HBF Five Star Builder, and it’s clear why Hazelwood has proven so popular with buyers.

The three-storey Rothely showhome at Bellway’s Hazelwood development in Cubbington offers flexibility to create a home office

“The first homes were released for sale at the end of 2020, closely followed by the launch of our showhome. We are now in a position where we feel confident we can accommodate almost any buyer’s needs.

“People do need to act quickly to secure their preferred home as the market is moving at pace.”

The three-bedroom, three-storey Rothley townhouse showhome demonstrates the high quality and specification of homes at Hazelwood, as well as offering some interior design inspiration. Bellway worked with Edward Thomas Interiors to demonstrate three-storey living, with the flexibility to create features such as a home office workspace.

Bellway’s team are proud to have held Five Star Builder status with the Home Builders Federation for the fifth consecutive year in 2021. The award demonstrates that over 90 per cent of Bellway’s customers who completed the HBF’s National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

Hannah Gill, who works as a new homes sales manager, recently moved into her new home at a Bellway South Midlands development.

Hannah, 31, who has previously owned older properties, said: “Buying a new-build property has meant that I can enjoy my home rather than constantly having to think about maintaining it.

“I can honestly say that I have never found a house that has had fewer snags to raise and the layout is perfect for me.

“The Bellway staff have been beyond helpful and the sale went brilliantly. The site manager has come over several times to make sure everything is okay with me and the house.

“Nothing I ask ever seems like too much and anytime I have asked for something, it has been done very quickly. I would 100 per cent recommend buying with Bellway.”

Homes at Hazelwood currently start at £195,000 for a one-bedroom maisonette. Two-bedroom maisonettes are available from £225,000; two-bedroom houses from £295,000; three-bedroom houses from £335,000; and four-bedroom houses are priced up to £520,000.

The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available to first-time buyers on one and two-bedroom maisonettes. It enables buyers to secure their home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided as an equity loan with no interest to pay for the first five years.
