Connells to hold a special event for investors

The event will give buy-to-let investors the chance to discuss opportunities including properties, buy-to-let mortgages and Connells’ range of lettings services.

Louisa Mcevoy, lettings negotiator at the branch, said: “On the day people can view details of a range of properties ideal for investment and experts will be on hand to talk about all aspects of being a landlord,

“As well as this we’ll have our resident mortgage consultant Hemal Vyas available to talk about the ins and outs of financing this type of investment. We can also explain how our support centres work in helping sort out the day-to-day management issues of being a landlord.”

Due to tighter restrictions on mortgage lending people are finding it more difficult to obtain finance to buy a property. Because of this many more tenants are deciding to rent for longer. Similarly, some homeowners are even deciding to sell their property and rent for six to 12 months to see what is going to happen in the market.

Louisa added: “There is currently a great demand for rental property so if you have been thinking about letting out an existing property, or buying a rental property as an investment, now is a great time to do it.

“With this in mind we are inviting landlords and potential landlords to sit down with experts and discuss the lettings market and the practicalities of renting out a property in more detail.”

Louisa has been with Connells since March and is the dedicated lettings negotiator for the Warwick area. She has five years experience in property management and lettings and has helped numerous landlords to develop strong portfolios of buy-to-let and investment properties.

Resident mortgage services consultant Hemal has worked in the financial sector for nine years, previously working for Natwest, Barclays and Coventry Building Society before joining Connells in April.
