“Confidence in selling properties at auction is growing and I want to build on this. Buying and selling by auction is an extremely viable option for all and should be seen as a first choice when looking to buy or sell.

“For example there are many benefits of both buying and selling at a property auction. For the seller, there is no fixed asking price - through competitive bidding your property could achieve a higher price than expected. And your reserve price protects you from selling it too cheaply.

“For the buyer, there is no gazumping - once the hammer falls, the vendor has sold it to you.”

Auction House is entering the highest number of lots to be sold at auction inone month since the height of the recession in 2008.

Over 600 residential and commercial instructions have been catalogued in 27 sales across England, Scotland and Wales during July. According to the Essential Information Group (EIG), this is the highest monthly figure recorded by a UK auctioneer for six years.

Deborah added: “Strong listings in our core areas and growth in others have come together to make it our busiest month ever.

“The regional auctions message is certainly getting through loud and clear - selling local properties to local buyers at higher prices through regional auction rooms is the future - and it is gathering momentum fast!

“We’ve had a very good first half to the year. We offered 1,614 lots and delivered at a success rate of 77.6 per cent, with sale prices showing significant growth.

“Sales of commercial lots have done well and rural stock is in strong demand, along with building land and refurbishments.

“Investments is proving to be a growth area for Auction House, with more landlords selling tenanted stock to new investors on the fall of the hammer.

“It’s altogether an impressive performance by the UK’s No1 auctioneer, which bodes well for the sector as a whole, and for the Auction House brand in particular.”

The next sale for Auction House is at Nuneaton Golf Club on September 23 at 6pm. Call Deborah for a free market appraisal on 02476 378104.
