Donation helps restore Guild Hall

Taylor Wimpey Midlands joined in Henley In Arden’s festivities recently when regional sales and marketing director, Anne Wallace, turned up at the Guild Hall Fashion Show with a cheque for £600.

This generous donation from the leading house builder, which is currently building its Farriers Cross development in the town, will go towards the restoration of the Guild Hall – one of Henley in Arden’s most historically rich buildings.

John Tristram, low bailiff and chairman of the Guild Hall Trust, said: “We’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for its generous donation – it was a fantastic end to the incredible fashion show organised by the Guild Hall.

“Thanks to Taylor Wimpey, we are now one step closer to being able to restore our beloved building to its former glory.”

Anne Wallace said: “It’s wonderful to be able to help towards the restoration of the Guild Hall, which is such a beautiful Elizabethan building, especially as we spend our days surrounded by new homes.

“We’re always keen to support the local communities we build in wherever possible and the Guild Hall Trust is a more than worthy recipient. It’s a stunning building in one of the most unspoilt historic high streets in the UK and we’re honoured to be able help with its restoration.”

Farriers Cross is set in the heart of Henley In Arden, a charming village steeped in history and surrounded by stunning Warwickshire countryside. The High Street offers designer shops, refreshments and an array of gastro bars and coffee shops.
