Firm moves to Midlands

Expanding building supplies firm Chandlers has broken out from its heartland in the south east to exploit the construction upturn in a move that appears to have been timed to perfection.

Following an extensive search across the region, Chandlers identified Loades Estates’ Old Church Road site as the ideal site for its Midlands operation.

Chandlers Building Supplies is a long established independent builders merchants, with an excellent reputation among its customers. The Old Church Road site will specialise in the provision of the highest quality roofing supplies, and boasts an impressive range of products. Brian Gibson, Chandlers’ highly experienced branch manager, said: “We identified Old Church Road early on in our search as an ideal location for the business. The extensive yard area, and proximity to key markets made it the ideal solution.”

Iain Critchlow, of Bromwich Hardy, said: “This is one of a succession of recent deals in which Bromwich Hardy have represented Loades Estates and it is another indication of steadily improving market conditions.”

Loades Estates is currently developing its 15 acre site close to junction three of the M6 motorway, known as Loades EcoPark, the first speculative industrial /warehouse development in Coventry within the last four years. Loades EcoPark will create hundreds of jobs over the next few years, attracting high quality, technology driven business.
