Newman’s has seen a massive increase in first time buyers wishing to know more about the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme, which now means homebuyers only need to find a five per cent deposit.

It also means according to Rightmove.co.uk, 90 per cent of currently available properties in England will be available under the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme.

James added: “Interest rates are still low making buying a property more affordable and prices are now starting to rise. This means now is an excellent time for first time buyers to buy a home.”

As a further incentive Newman’s is offering £100 off their conveyancing fees for any first time buyers who attend the event as well as £95 off mortgage arrangement fees.
