On Saturday October 26 Newman’s is holding a ‘First Time Buyers Day’ at its office 3 Euston Place, Leamington. At the event first time buyers will be able to get free advice on all aspects of buying a home and take advantage of some special offers.

Branch manager James Morton said: “Many first time buyers wish to find out how much they can borrow, what the monthly repayments will be and what other costs are involved in buying their first home” said. We will have two whole of market mortgage specialists on hand to answer questions and explain the whole process of buying a home.”

Newman’s has seen a massive increase in first time buyers wishing to know more about the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme, which now means homebuyers only need to find a five per cent deposit.

It also means according to, 90 per cent of currently available properties in England will be available under the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme.

James added: “Interest rates are still low making buying a property more affordable and prices are now starting to rise. This means now is an excellent time for first time buyers to buy a home.”

As a further incentive Newman’s is offering £100 off their conveyancing fees for any first time buyers who attend the event as well as £95 off mortgage arrangement fees.

First time buyers will be able to pop in with no appointment and have all their questions answered in a relax and informal atmosphere. The event will start at 9am.

Due to the high demand from buyers Newman’s urgently needs more properties to sell so would urge anyone who is thinking of selling and has a property suitable for a first time buyer to contact them as soon as possible on 01926 431431
