Mortgage services sales manager Amy Nash said: “Historically, the Government’s home buying schemes have been restricted to those who are buying a home for the first time, but this isn’t the case with Help to Buy.

“Many home movers are keen to purchase a larger property, perhaps to accommodate a growing family, and Help to Buy could help them achieve this.”

Help to Buy offers both an equity loan scheme for new build homes and a mortgage guarantee option which covers all types of property. Both enable purchasers to buy a home with only a 5 per cent deposit. The scheme has been instrumental in boosting buyer confidence, as well as the ability to buy for many home purchasers.

Amy Added: “Using Help to Buy could mean buyers can potentially afford a larger property which will fulfil their needs for a longer time period rather than having to upsize again a few years down the line. I would urge anyone who has been thinking about moving to get in touch and see if the Help to Buy route would work for them.”
