Kenilworth - town of choice for buy to let investors

Since the start of 2013 Heritage Property in Kenilworth has reported a 56 per cent increase in the number of lets agreed so far this year.

Branch manager John Ansell said: “We have been genuinely astonished by the business levels this year. This is in the main down to the number of buy to let investors that have been buying property over recent months.

“I have long advocated that Kenilworth is a great place to invest in property and it appears that others share that view. For large periods of 2012 the issue was simply not having the properties available to meet the constant demand from tenants.

“This rise in tenancies is borne out of the fact that nearly 50 per cent of those properties we have never previously rented. Quite an astonishing statistic and 80 per cent of those landlords have opted to allow us to manage their property on their behalf.

“There are many factors that make Kenilworth such a great place to invest. When you consider we have two very successful universities close by and Coventry quickly becoming the country’s automotive capital again means that there are always a ready supply of professional tenants to rent good quality properties.

“The vast majority of these people are not looking at making roots here, but simply coming to study or work for a fixed period.

“I would ask that if you have a property that you consider to be suitable for investment you make us your agent of choice.”
