Selina Egan, branch manager at Leamington and Warwick , said: ‘Lettings continues to go extremely well. Demand for properties is outweighing supply so we are agreeing lets on properties quickly, getting good rental prices but most importantly ensuring we get a good quality professional client for our landlords.

“We qualify all our clients prior to the viewing stage and then carry out stringent referencing with an agency to ensure all the appropriate checks are carried out.”

Leamington is a popular town for letting properties, especially with its strong links to Warwick University and Jaguar Land Rover. Landlords and investors are also attracted to its commuter links both north and south of the town.

Selina has seen a large number of buy-to-let investors coming back to the market this year and says this trend is gathering momentum.

She added: “Many people believed the lettings market would begin to suffer slightly from the greater availability of mortgages via Help to Buy. However we have seen the opposite effect here at Connells in Leamington. We are busier than ever and more and more landlords are approaching us to use our lettings services.”
