Built in 1847, the Grade II Victorian Gothic Binswood Hall was inspired by Hampton Court Palace, with pattern brickwork, Bath and Caen stone dressings and projecting octagonal turrets. For much of its history it was a beacon of education in the local area, home to Leamington College for Boys amongst others, and the alma mater of distinguished alumni including Sir Frank Whittle, inventor of the jet engine, and Giles Lytton Strachey, British writer and critic.

After closing several years ago and falling in to disrepair, it has now been sympathetically restored by Audley Retirement Villages, bringing independent and luxury living to over 55s in the region.

Nick Sanderson, CEO of Audley Retirement, said: “Binswood Hall is a magnificent local landmark and we are excited to be re-opening the building to buyers and the wider community, introducing a restaurant, bistro and health club.

“We are committed to providing the highest quality of service and showing the care that has gone in to the restoration of this historic building. “The restaurant and bar/bistro will serve outstanding local produce where possible and will allow people to dine and relax in truly stunning surroundings.”
