Robin bags a hamper by putting home on the market

A lucky Wyken resident was the first to take advantage of a festive promotion run by Shortland Horne, one of Coventry’s leading independent estate agents and chartered surveyors.

The company joined forces with Kendalls of Earlsdon to supply festive hampers to all customers putting their property on the market before January 31, 2012.

Robin Ellard of Hipswell Highway, Wyken, spotted a Shortland Horne advertisement and it was just the prompt he needed to put his house on the market.

Mr Ellard called the Walsgrave Road branch and arranged a valuation on his three bedroom end-of-terrace property. And, after meeting with sales director Andrew Moss he decided to place his property on the market straightaway.

Mr Ellard said: “It was an easy decision to use Shortland Horne because we used them when I sold my mother’s property two years ago and that was a very positive experience. The staff in the Walsgrave Road office are very friendly and helpful and its location, so close by, is a bonus.”

Branch manager Linda Maxwell presented a delighted Mr Ellard with his hamper and he was looking forward to taking it home for Christmas.

Shortland Horne sales director, Andrew Moss, said: “We are pleased Mr Ellard has chosen to come on the market with us.

“The New Year is our busiest time of the year for house hunters which is why we decided to launch this campaign.”

Festive Hampers are available to people listing their property for sale with Shortland Horne estate agents by January 31. Those who arrange a free market valuation by that date will also be entered into a free prize draw.
