Tara & Co sponsors table tennis club in Lillington

Based in Cubbington Road in Lillington, Free Church is one of few clubs in the country fully run by volunteers and donations.

With the final Lillington TTC Graded Tournament of the season taking place on March 9, Clemens Street-based Tara and Co’s tournament sponsorship will go towards hosting more national tournaments of this kind over the next 12 months.

Tara & Co is passionate about supporting local clubs and charities and the sponsorship deal arose from employee and keen table tennis player and club member Deepak Chandrababu.

He said: “I feel proud that Tara & Co is able to support a club like Lillington who are making a sincere effort to encourage sport amongst the younger generation. Being able to provide sponsorship to a volunteer run programme is a great way to maintain clubs of this kind in the region.

“The club is renowned for hosting national tournaments that welcome excellent players from across the country and we are excited to be a part of it.”
