Since the beginning of the year activity in the marketplace has been busier than most of last year.

Statistics on the Rightmove website showed that in the first two weeks of 2014 the number of property pages viewed rose by nearly 20 per cent on the same period a year ago.

Nationally home-movers made more than 1.75million enquiries via Rightmove in the first two weeks of the year, another new year record.

Paul Houghton-Brown, head of Sotheby’s International Realty’s Stratford office said: “Our clients have reaped the rewards of this activity and we agreed more sales in January within the local area than in any month in 2013 with 18 per cent of our stock going under offer in a single month.

“We believe that this proves that confidence has returned to the market and our national and international marketing initiatives are providing our clients with outstanding results.”

With this amount of traffic hurtling through property websites it’s more important than ever to have your property presented in the best possible light.

Sotheby’s International Realty always have a professional photographer to take the images of the house.

With the best possible images in hand they then use a multiple image premium display advert because, with three images being displayed, the internet user will naturally be drawn to click for further details and request a viewing.
