Much-loved opera works performed by orchestra

Musicians from across Warwickshire will be coming together to perform some much-loved opera arias at the Spa Centre, Leamington tomorrow evening (Saturday).

The Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra concert will bring well-established soloists Nadine Benjamin and John Hudson together with guest conductor Tony Ayres in a celebration of opera favourites, in a concert designed to appeal to anyone who loves opera.

The concert will feature well-known arias by masters of opera such as Verdi, Wagner and Puccini, but will also include some lesser known works by Smetana and Saint-Saëns.

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £12 for adults, £5 concessions and £28 for families. They are available from Presto Classical in Leamington, from www.wso.org.uk or by calling the ticket secretary on 850385.
