Treachery and love in grand opera style
Puccini’s opera Tosca comes to the venue on Friday April 29 at 7.30pm.
Set against the backdrop of Rome, the Napoleonic Wars and a corrupt Italian regime, the tale is told by international soloists, full orchestra and a highly praised chorus including a boys’ choir with a choirboy solo.

Directed as a Gothic, Victorian horror story, Tosca is an epic tale of true love and treachery. In order to save her love from execution, Tosca must enter into a deal of seduction with the Chief of Police, an arrangement that ends fatally for all.
The Ellen Kent production is presented by Opera & Ballet International. Opera and Ballet International have previously taken productions to venues including the Royal Albert Hall, London and Leeds Castle.
