Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum: New exhibition Through the Shop Window provides a glimpse at shopping in Royal Leamington Spa from the 1880s to the 1980s, including personal stories, photographs and objects from the collection. The exhibition runs until Sunday, April 17.

It consists of two plays set in the dining-room and lounge of a private genteel Beauregard hotel in Bournemouth during the 1950’s in which the residents are obliged to take meals at individual tables, symbolising the isolation of the individuals. Grange Hall, Southam, Friday February 5 to Sunday February 7: One of William Shakespeare’s most famous works has been given a very different look by becoming a pantomime.

Hill Close Gardens, Warwick, 11am to 4pm: Snowdrop weekend. The restored Victorian gardens and their historic summerhouses, which overlook the racecourse, will be open for the public to welcome the first signs of spring. Many varieties of snowdrop can be seen on the trail around the gardens. Victorian varieties can be seen along with more modern varieties, including the Warwickshire Gemini. There will also be a large landscaped display of many varieties, including the honey scented S ‘Arnott’, set in the warmth of the Visitor Centre. Members of the Tamiya Truckin Club will present live action at the show demonstrating and driving their 1/14 and 1/16 scale radio controlled model trucks and construction vehicles. Friends Meeting House, Warwick, 7.30pm: Warwickshire Gardens Trust hosts a talk about Warwick Castle park. Christine Hodgetts has been studying Warwick Castle park and gardens for more than 20 years. Leading up to the Capability Brown tercentenary in 2016, this talk will look at Warwick, his first commission in private practice, and at how the park and gardens developed after his time.
