A leap of faith for charity

A TEAM of women will be throwing themselves out of aeroplanes next week to raise money for a Warwick hospice.

Myton Hospice relies on donations to keep on running, and a group of 13 people are doing a skydive to do their bit.

One of those adrenaline junkies is former High Sheriff of Warwickshire Anna Trye, 66, from Warwick, who is now a trustee and volunteer for the hospice.

She said: “I hope to be attached to somebody but yes I will be jumping out of a plane.

“I’m a trustee at the hospice and work as a volunteer in the inpatient ward, and am also a member of the pastoral team. I enjoy volunteering there very much, it’s very worthwhile.

“There’s going to be a good crowd of us, so we should raise quite a lot of money for the hospice.

“I am very much looking forward to it. I think it will be fairly scary just before I jump, but once you’re up there you can’t do anything about it!”

The jump will take place at Brackley Airfield in Northamptonshire next Saturday.
