Amazement as lucky wedding ring is found

Owen Burdekin, from Leighton Buzzard, was visiting the Heritage Motor Centre for a conference on January 16 and 17 - and heavy snow meant he had to clear his windscreen by hand when he returned to his car.
It was only when he was back in Bedfordshire that he realised his platinum wedding ring was missing. He called the Gaydon centre and staff searched the car park, but to no avail. Meanwhile, tractors had been out in the same area clearing the snow.

But determined security officer Dudley Carter (pictured) kept looking - and nine days later he found the ring lying in the car park, perfectly intact.
Mr Burdekin said: “This is the second time I have lost my wedding ring and I’m amazed that on both occasions it turned up against the odds. The staff at the Heritage Motor Centre were incredibly helpful and I’m so grateful that they found it. The ring barely has a mark on it.”
