An iPod for giving teacher an apple

MYTON School pupils can cash in good behaviour for iPods - or give money to charity - under a new reward scheme next term.

The school is launching a new ‘Vivo Miles’ system in September in which pupils receive ‘miles’ for good work and effort in school, then use them to buy items ranging from key rings to store vouchers and iPods, or donate money to charity.

Local Parking Security, a company run by parents Richard and Donna Evans has sponsored the scheme, which headteacher Paul MacIntyre said was made possible by gaining academy status.

He said: “Our student council reviewed Vivo and unanimously agreed this is a wonderful way to improve our rewards strategy.”
