Mr Collins was stabbed to death in a nightclub in the resort of Ayia Napa.

The three men, two aged 17 and one aged 19, had been remanded in custody for eight days by Farnagusta District Court.

The Ministry of Defence has banned soldiers from Ayia Napa’s centre after past trouble.

Troops from the 2nd Fusiliers, which was recently posted to the former British colony, are among more than 3,000 British personnel stationed there.

Thousands of veterans and supporters recently marched through London to show their support for the regiment, which the Government plans to axe in 2014.
