Artistic trio add the wow factor to Warwickshire MP’s cards

EVEN though they live near Warwick, sisters Emily and Abby Bayliss decided to make a joint entry in a Christmas card art competition organised by Kenilworth and Southam MP Jeremy Wright.

Mr Wright was looking for that personal touch for his annual season’s greetings from Westminster. He appealed to the Courier and Kenilworth Weekly News for help, promising prizes of a a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament and Westminster teddy bears for the winners.

Emily, aged six, and Abby, aged three, joined forces to make hand prints of Rudolf’s antlers and ended up being awarded the runners-up prize by the delighted MP.

It meant their efforts were reproduced on the back of all of the Christmas cards he sent out this year.

Meanwhile, on the front was the work of the overall competition winner, seven-year-old Hannah Mason, who attends Crackley Hall School in Kenilworth and created a picture of Santa riding in his sleigh above Kenilworth Castle.
