Arts project in Burton Green this weekend

An arts project in Burton Green is coming to the village hall on Saturday June 25 from 12 to 5pm and Sunday June 26 from 10am to 5pm.

The project, ‘Made in Burton Green’, features an exhibition, a scarecrow competition and a sculpture trail. The exhibition in the village all incorporates photography, painting, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.

Scarecrows will be exhibited along the Greenway at Burton Green and maps of their locations will be available for visitors. The best one will be announced at 4.30pm on the Sunday at the village hall.

And sculptures made by schools, nurseries and community groups will be on display in part of the nearby Kenilworth Greenway until Sunday July 10.

Refreshments, light lunches and home-baked cakes will be available, and the Village Choir led by Seb Farrall will be performing at 4pm on the Sunday.
