Aylesford School tackles drink driving

THE consequences of drink driving got very real for pupils at Aylesford High School in Warwick this week.

As part of the Prison Me No Way scheme they were visited by police, firefighters, paramedics and prison guards who took them through a drink-driving crash from the drink through to the first aid, court proceedings and prison.

Aylesford head of ethics Emma Moore said: “The pupils were all totally enthralled by it. The general gist teachers have had is that it was an exceptionally well received day and the pupils would recommend it. A lot of people gave up their time to make it possible.”

Sixth form students acted the parts and Lord Lieut. Martin Dunn opened the event.
