Young Carers, who are a national charity set up to provide support to young people who care for vulnerable and unwell family members will be presented with their cheque on Thursday (November 7).

Molly Olly’s Wishes, was established to provide financial and emotional support to both children with terminal or life threatening illnesses and also to their families.

The charity will be presented with its cheque on Friday (November 8).

The fashions shows have been running for 34 years with 1,200 people expected to attend the events.

Event organiser and comperé, Jenni Fuller said “Each year we ask our models to choose the charities we will support and generally we split approximately £14,000, generated from ticket sales and the raffle, between the charities they select.

“We are also very fortunate in that many local businesses are generous enough to donate some enticing prizes for the raffle.

“Our goal is to entertain our loyal supporters and showcase regional fashion talent while fundraising for special causes.

“This year we have some fantastic surprises up our sleeves.”

The fashion shows start at 7.30pm on both evenings and finish at approximately 10pm.

Early arrival is recommended as there is no allocated seating.
