Brunel’s legacy alive and well in Warwick

Engineering continues to flourish at the all-girls King’s High in Warwick where former head girl Georgina Box (pictured left) won an Engineering and Technology Scholarship.

To add to this three Year 10 pupils, Sarah Chapman, Emilia Di Matteo and Pramida Polasa have been shortlisted in this year’s Talent 2030 National Engineering Competition.

Headmistress Elizabeth Surber said: “We’re very proud that Georgina, our last year’s head girl, has been awarded such a prestigious scholarship.

“Engineering is a field in which there are still very few women in the UK and we hope other girls will be inspired to follow in Georgina’s footsteps.”
