A ROAD just outside Warwick has made it into the top ten most expensive streets in the West Midlands.

Figures released by Lloyds TSB have looked at the most expensive streets in the region based on the average house prices.

Church Road in Budbrooke claimed tenth place in the poll, and the highest in Warwickshire, with the average house going for £750,000.

In top spot was Quarry Park Road in Stourbridge, with the average house demanding £1,070,000, while four of the top ten were in Solihull, the most expensive of which is Alderbrook Road which fetches just under £1million for its houses.

Housing economist at Lloyds TSB Nitesh Patel said: “Unsurprisingly, the most expensive residential streets in England and Wales are in London.

“Solihull is well represented in the top ten most expensive streets in the West Midlands. There are two roads in Sutton Coldfield in the region’s top five.”

However, streets could only be included in the survey if there had been at least seven transactions between January 2007 and October 2011.
