Building a bond with China...through Bond

THE latest James Bond film was one of the lighter topics of conversation when Kenilworth and Southam MP Jeremy Wright met a delegation of mature students from China.

The students, who are all taking a six-month break from their careers in local Government in order to to take part in Warwick University’s Shanghai Research Fellowship Scheme, were eager to tell the MP about Skyfall being filmed in their city.

Moreover, they were keen to question him about his role as an MP and the relationship between the law and Government in the UK.

Mr Wright, who is now a Justice Minister, also provided an insight into the reforms to the legal aid system and education and the law.

Afterwards he said: “Warwick University has been running this excellent scheme for six years.

“I am hugely supportive of any initiative that improves cross-cultural understanding, particularly between Britain and China as an important emerging world power.”
