Crime prevention manager George Stepney said: “Please help keep your home safe by keeping all keys away from windows and external doors so they are not visible or accessible to tempt an opportunist thief.”

Police have carried out house to house enquiries and are appealing for witnesses who saw or heard anything suspicious that could be connected to the burglary to contact the acquisitive crime team at Leamington police station on 415000 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
