Call for volunteers by Fusiliers’ museum

THE Royal Regiment of Fusiliers museum at St John’s House in Warwick, is seeking new volunteers to join its small friendly team.

The museum tells the story of the 300 year long history of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment - which became the fusiliers - and displays an array of fascinating artefacts and the occasional live recording, including General Montgomery’s famous address before the Battle of El Alamein.

Curatorial officer Stephanie Bennett says she would be glad to see anyone interested between 4pm and 6pm on December 13 when mince pies will be served.

One volunteer told her: “I’ve learnt about things that I wouldn’t normally - it makes me feel that I am making a real difference.”
