Car smashed but no serious injuries in crash near Southam

A FATHER and son escaped with minor injuries after the car in which they were travelling (pictured) was mangled in a crash in Long Itchington.

An ambulance and air ambulance were called to Snowfield Hill on Leamington Road just after 11am on Sunday, where they arrived to find the man, who is in his 40s, and his son already out of the car.

The man suffered a head wound while his teenage son had minor injuries. The man was airlifted to the University Hospital in Coventry and his son was taken by road to the same hospital.
