Charity’s posters to support cancer patients

LEADING cancer charity Macmillan’s Warwickshire branch is urging people to go for posters instead of cards this Christmas as part of a campaign to help people with cancer.

The charity has produced posters for workplaces so that colleagues can wish each other by writing messages - instead of exchanging cards - and making a donation with each message.

Karen Shortt, fundraising manager for the branch, said: “No one wants to be seen as the office Scrooge at Christmas so if one person brings in cards for everyone, most other staff feel the need to do the same thing.

“But you can head off the annual Christmas hand cramp by ordering one of our Christmas posters.

“Everyone in the office can just write one message before putting a donation in the Macmillan collection box.

“It’s an easy way to help a good cause and cross one Christmas task of your list.”
