Check before you travel on trains this Christmas

PASSENGERS planning to use the trains over the next two weeks are being urged to check times before travelling.

Chiltern Railways are reminding customers to buy tickets with plenty of time to spare and to check online as there will be changes to the train times over the festive period.

On Friday December 23 a revised service will be in place from 4pm, with afternoon services from London having additional carriages to provide more seats for passengers returning from work early and travelling away for Christmas.

On Christmas Eve there will be a normal Saturday service in operation but it will finish earlier than usual.

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day there will be no train services running, and on Tuesday December 23 an amended Saturday service will be in operation.

Next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see a reduced Monday to Friday service on both the Birmingham to London and the Oxford to Bicester lines.

On New Years Eve and New Years Day there will be reduced services, and this will also be the case on January 2.

On Tuesday January 3 a normal service will be back in operation.
