The district council is urging residents to refer to their collection calendar, visit the council’s website or contact the council for information to ensure that no one misses their collections.

The most important changes are for Kenilworth, large parts of Leamington and any other properties which normally have their recycling and rubbish collected on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

As there will be no collections on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, collections will take place a day or so earlier than normal.

Properties that normally have their waste collected on Thursdays or Fridays will have it collected a day later than normal.

Councillor David Shilton, responsible for policy on neighbourhood services, said: “The recycling and rubbish teams are having a well-earned break but will be working over the weekend after Christmas to make sure that all properties still receive a service.

“A huge thanks to all residents of Warwick district for continuing to recycle as much as possible. More than 50 per cent of waste produced by households in the district is now recycled.”

Collections will go back to normal from Monday December 30 and there will be a collection on New Year’s Day.
