Cllr Kinson said: “This is one of our most popular events of the year and with thousands attending last year I’m sure we’ll see even bigger crowds this year.

“The event brings us all together to launch the festive season and I hope you and your families will have an enjoyable afternoon out.”

The main switch-on will be led by Leamington mayor Cllr Yvonne Moore along with the stars of this year’s Spa Centre pantomime and father Christmas.

The event will mark the start of late night shopping in Leamington Spa each Thursday, along with the festive markets each Sunday on the Parade until 23 December.

Visitors will also spot well known characters from this year’s pantomime, Snow White, among the crowd.

The Pantomime will run at the Spa Centre from Friday December 7 to Monday December 31 this year.
