Clint shaves off his barnet for hospice

A LEAMINGTON bar manager had a close shave and managed to raise hundreds of pounds for a good cause.

Clint Barnett, manager of TJ’s and The Thomas James Hotel in Bath Street, decided to have his head shaved after he witnessed the work of Myton Hospice when his father received care 18 months ago.

He held the Clint’s Close Shave event at the bar last month and made £342 for the cause.

He said: “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who came down to TJ’s to support me and who donated cash.

“Having a shaved head has taken some getting used to and my head is a lot colder now.”

TJ’s offered a happy hour all day to mark the occasion and there was plenty of support for Mr Barnett.

Sara Fenton, of the charity’s fundraising team, said: “We are very grateful to Clint for the money he has raised and to everyone who donated.”
