Communications company brought in over plans for 90 new homes in Barford

BARFORD people will have their say on plans to build almost 90 new homes on green belt land in the village.

The village’s residents’ association has commissioned the independent consultation company Green Issues Communications - who have also worked on developer Trilogy Developments’ plans for Leamington’s former Ford site - to produce a survey of people’s views towards the proposals, which are being promoted by developer Sharba Homes.

Sharba wants to build 89 new homes on land in the village centre between Wasperton Lane, Wellesbourne Road and Church Street.

Up to 40 per cent could be affordable housing.

The proposals also include 5.6 acres of open space, which would be given to the village for public use.

Sharba has also agreed to provide funding for a community building, and has proposed a sports changing facility for use alongside a new cricket pitch.
