Council has car safety concerns after enforcement action at garages in Leamington

Vehicles with faults were submitted to main dealers and dedicated car servicing businesses in Leamington and also Stratford, Rugby and also Nuneaton and Bedworth.
The costs of the services ranged from £197 to £399 but despite this, every garage missed faults or failed to report or rectify them.

Trading Standards are not in a position to name these businesses at this present time.
But further investigations are now being undertaken and all court related enforcement action will be publicised.
Warwickshire County Councillor John Horner, portfolio holder for community safety, said: “We have found cars for sale that were clearly un-roadworthy and in some cases dangerous to drive. “Furthermore, Warwickshire car owners could well be paying hundreds of pounds for servicing that has not been carried out properly.”
