A banned motorist has had his car seized after he was spotted using his mobile phone at the wheel by police.

The driver ran into trouble after he was stopped and checked by vigilant traffic patrol officers in the Lutterworth area on Wednesday afternoon.

The offender was pulled over because talking on your mobile while driving is illegal.

He ended up having his saloon confiscated as the officers quickly established that he was disqualified after being stripped of his driving licence.

And he had no driving insurance either.
