“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have witnessed something or seen anything suspicious to please get in touch.

“We know that the suspects parked the white BMW they were travelling in on the A46 between 6pm and 7pm that evening.

"The occupants were parked on the opposite side of the A46 so had to cross the busy A-road causing one driver to have to brake suddenly to avoid them.

“We would really like to speak to this driver as we believe they could really help with our investigation.

"We would also really like to speak to anyone who may have been travelling on the A46 between these times that evening who may have dash-cam footage of the white BMW and the suspects.

“We also believe a Citroen vehicle may have been involved as it was seen in the area at around the time of the incident.

"If you remember seeing this type of vehicle on Sherbourne Hill then please do get in touch.”
