Back in August 2022, PC Craig Stead from the Warwickshire Police Operations Patrol Unit was on patrol in a marked police car when he came up behind a car being driven by Samir Abdulrahman in Lillington Road, Leamington.

After stopping the car officers seized a knife.

On Tuesday (May 14), at Warwick Crown Court, Abdulrahman, aged 21, of Hornsey Close, Coventry, was jailed for three months after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence. He was found guilty of possession of a knife in a public place. He was also banned from driving for 20 months.

PC Stead said: “The manner of the driving displayed by Abdulrahman shows why we proactively police our roads. His driving put other road users and pedestrians at risk and he belongs behind bars.”
