Knife-carrying would-be burglars crash as they are chased after attempted break-in at village near Rugby

Three men have been arrested after an attempted burglary in Willoughby yesterday.
At around 2.40pm on Wednesday, July 29, police received a report of a burglary at a property on Pye Court.

Hide AdThe suspects were reported to have left in a white Transit and a vehicle was subsequently spotted by officers, who attempted to stop it.
After a short pursuit, a collision occurred on the A45 between Dunchurch and Stretton at around 3.30pm.
Minor damage was sustained to the police vehicle and no-one was injured.
A 23-year-old man from Coventry and a 21-year-old from Coventry were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary while a 26-year-old man from Bedworth was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and possession of a knife/bladed article.
All three remain in police custody.
